Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

We’re so grateful for all Bryn has done and we have lots of amazing memories of him. We’re sure you do too. If you’d like to share your memories, condolences, and even a photo, please do so on this page.

Make a Dedication

Dear Emma and family I am so sorry to hear of Bryn's death today. I am truly shocked. Help For Heroes has been and continues to be a significant part of my life and of my family's too. The Charity picked me up at my lowest point. So Bryn please accept my gratitude for all the work you and Emma have done. Help For Heroes is your legacy to us, Veterans. Your duty is done. May you rest in peace with your Brothers in our Father's House. In your debt Ken
