Rest in Peace Bryn, you were an inspiration and driving force for H4H for a generation, and for generations to come. I was privileged to have been able to volunteer with H4H after the passing of Drummer Lee Rigby, and we took hundreds of customer calls from all over the UK from people of all ages and backgrounds who bought their Hoodies and shared what H4H meant to them personally, and to all our wounded and recovering veterans, it was truly humbling. Your legacy lives on Bryn, God Bless You.

H4H are helping me after I eventually went to an outreach coffee morning 3 months ago. I just learnt about youre sad loss whilst reading more about how it all started and what the organisation and its people do for those who are struggling, or have very serious physical injuries. My story is long and complicated. I am a veteran of the 1st Gulf war having joined in 1983. NHS counselling didnt work for me. The help I get from the amazing people at H4H is helping me tremendously. Thank you so much.

I honestly don't know what my life would look like without Bryn and Emma's actions all those years ago. From BBBR ’10, which was magical, the cheers of BBBR ’11 when we broke the £1m mark, to the undulations of Mexico in Coast to Coast ’12... Every bike ride has been an honour to be part of, all to raise funds for the fabulous charity you and Emma set up. Bryn always made time to come and see me in the art room, we loved art, and stupid jokes, and a couple of times we wielded paint brush and pen doing caricatures and cartoons together. He supported me in my recovery, using art and creativity as a means to getting better. I am now a lot better and I am daily creating, writing, drawing and composing, and my promise to Bryn to keep at art and writing still stands. Thank you, and we will look after your bear now.

I met Bryn serving in the Greenjackets Depot in Winchester just before he resigned from the Army. I realised then what a very nice man he was and later it did not surprise me that the project he founded with his lovely wife was to become such a worthwhile and nationwide success. It is so unfair that he passed away so young when he had more to do for others. I have an original cartoon of myself drawn by Bryn which I treasure as it reminds me what a special man the artist was.

Fortunately I have never had reason to use H4H but have supported them as I appreciate what they do .I have also lost a leg but nothing to do with combat but through medical negligence 2 years ago on 1/6/21 now aged 76.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Bryn. We only met once, the opening briefing of BBBR 2016 at Ypres. I loved every minute. I didn’t ride, but was a member of the Ceremonial team; bugler playing Last Post at every commemorative service. We 1st met in ’07 - I had just finished 2yr of hospital/rehab, at the mercy of NHS/MoD med services that were not good. Your vision & grit, with Emma & the H4H team, changed how our nation sees its WIS, serving & veteran. You separated the politics of operations from “The Blokes” (to use your phrase), garnering support from the public & media. “The Blokes”, now & future, owe you a huge debt of gratitude.
