Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

We’re so grateful for all Bryn has done and we have lots of amazing memories of him. We’re sure you do too. If you’d like to share your memories, condolences, and even a photo, please do so on this page.

So sorry for your loss. Bryn was a wonderful man, and has left a fantastic legacy in H4H. I have been a very proud volunteer for H4H and also an extremely proud mum of 2 sons, both in the military. We as a family have been very fortunate in that we have not needed the help of H4H, but just knowing the help was there was a great comfort. I hope you, as a family, can take comfort at this very sad time in knowing how much Bryn meant to so many people.
