Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

You lived this life to help others, you seen through the barrier and only seen hope. That never dampened your whole life. I know that all of us, on here and around the world will standby and salute you Sir Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My condolences to family and friends who at this sad time will be feeling sorrow and sadness.
