Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

We’re so grateful for all Bryn has done and we have lots of amazing memories of him. We’re sure you do too. If you’d like to share your memories, condolences, and even a photo, please do so on this page.

Make a Dedication

I’ve been fortunate to ride with Bryn and Emma on a number of Battlefield Bikes Rides. From my first from Portsmouth to Paris in 2009, my personal highlight to Arnhem in 2010 and a most amazing time arriving back in London in 2013. From the very start Bryn engendered a phenomenal sense of friendship and teamwork. I’ve made so many great friends through my involvement with H4H. Thank you for everything.
