Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

As a committed and proud donator who is absolutely dedicated to Help for Heroes and what this important Charity stands for and the work they do; I am saddened to hear of the passing of Mr Parry. My condolences to his wife, family, and friends who had the privilege of knowing him. I am grateful to Mr & Mrs Parry for setting up this Charity which has given me the opportunity and privilege to financially support such a worthwhile cause.
