Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

We’re so grateful for all Bryn has done and we have lots of amazing memories of him. We’re sure you do too. If you’d like to share your memories, condolences, and even a photo, please do so on this page.

Make a Dedication

I worked with Bryn and Emma in 2009, back when Help for Heroes still operated from the tin hut and a small office in Downton. Bryn was a force of nature - full of ideas and completely passionate about the people that H4H was helping. It was amazing to see him at work. What he and Emma built is incredible and I think about that time so fondly. Sending lots of love to Emma and family xx
