Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

We’re so grateful for all Bryn has done and we have lots of amazing memories of him. We’re sure you do too. If you’d like to share your memories, condolences, and even a photo, please do so on this page.

Make a Dedication

RIP Bryn. Condolences to Emma and family. You saved so many people’s lives. I worked in RCDM In 2007 - so many visitors talked about doing something to improve care facilities etc, for the injured. However, you actually did it. I then worked in DMRC when the swimming pool was opened and saw first hand the difference you made to the patients recovery. I never imagined it but H4H were also there for when I was in a very bad way myself. Thank you for everything. TLC
