Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

We’re so grateful for all Bryn has done and we have lots of amazing memories of him. We’re sure you do too. If you’d like to share your memories, condolences, and even a photo, please do so on this page.

Make a Dedication

Bryn. I hope that in the darkest moments of your final days, you reflected as a family, the difference you made to people’s lives. What you achieved with H4H in such a short space of time is humbling and inspiring. To have met you was an honour but to witness what you have created is inspiring. The BBBR bike rides sum up the spirit of what you helped create. Team spirit, camaraderie, pride and quite a few “undulations “. Yes you helped raise millions but more importantly you saved lives. RIP x
