Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

We’re so grateful for all Bryn has done and we have lots of amazing memories of him. We’re sure you do too. If you’d like to share your memories, condolences, and even a photo, please do so on this page.

Make a Dedication

Bryn Parry

Bryn, you served your country, and lead from the front, and when the time came you stood up and lead from the front again with H4H. If it wasn’t for your tireless efforts and dedication to the WIS community, myself and many others may not even be here. I will fondly remember our chats in the cafe at Tedworth and up at the roundhouse. Sleep soundly now Bryn, you have left a legacy that will live on in infamy. Thank you from all of us. Until Valhalla
