Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

We’re so grateful for all Bryn has done and we have lots of amazing memories of him. We’re sure you do too. If you’d like to share your memories, condolences, and even a photo, please do so on this page.

Make a Dedication

Bryn you have been an inspiration to so many and an angel to our courageous serving military, wounded and disabled armed forces. A man of outstanding moral fibre, without feet of clay, but rather a steely & determined person who wouldn’t take no for an answer. Your loss in incalculable, but the legacy you have left is one that will be guarded in perpetuity by those of us that are left and generations after. You are now with the celestial angels still watching over us. Thank you for service Sir.
