Bryn Parry CBE

Everyone at Help for Heroes is deeply saddened by the news that our co-founder Bryn Parry CBE has passed away at the age of 66 after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.

Bryn, his wife Emma Parry OBE, and a small group of close friends, set up the Charity up in October 2007 after identifying an urgent need for better care and support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Bryn’s energy, dedication and passion soon propelled Help for Heroes into the national spotlight. The Charity became a household name overnight. As a result, hundreds of millions of pounds have been raised since. And the lives of tens of thousands wounded, sick and injured service personnel, veterans and their families have been transformed.

We’re so grateful for all Bryn has done and we have lots of amazing memories of him. We’re sure you do too. If you’d like to share your memories, condolences, and even a photo, please do so on this page.

I honestly don't know what my life would look like without Bryn and Emma's actions all those years ago. My brother was in the military and was one of the lucky ones to return unharmed, but this set the balling rolling for: - Volunteering/fundraising - Working at Help for Heroes for the past 8 years - Met my now husband at a H4H skydive (and now my son) Bryn was a great man who moved mountains. My family is so thankful to 'The Parrys' and we are so sorry for your loss x
